CC is an Open and Affirming Church

Dear Congregation,

I hope all is well with you!

Last Sunday worshippers, and all who passed by CCC, were greeted by our new rainbow feather flag brightly waving by our church sign. Because it is twelve feet tall, it is really impossible to miss. Thanks so much to Karen Kett for donating the flag and to Margarita and Hermes Morell for donating the flagpole. Thanks also to Daniel Best for supervising the installation of the holder done by Frank.  The new flag is a great way to advertise the fact that CC is an Open and Affirming Church that is GLBTQ+ friendly. As our sign says, “No matter who you are, no matter where you are on life’s journey, “YOU” are welcome here!”

Please plan to be present in worship on Sunday, in-person or on Facebook.   Afterward you may attend the Congregational Meeting in person or on ZOOM. In that meeting you’ll receive an update on the Property Planning Task Force’s work. This Sunday Kelsey Hall will be open after the meeting for coffee/juice and conversation.

It was just about a year ago on November 15, 2020, that we returned to in-person worship in the Garden Chapel after having worshipped remotely for months due to the pandemic. I know how glad we all are to have the opportunity to be together in worship again and also to have the Facebook option. In this season of Thanksgiving, let us continue to be grateful for those in church leadership who have given so generously of their time and talents to do the necessary work that keeps the church alive and well as it looks toward its future with hope and joy.

See you Sunday!

In Christ’s love,

Pastor Candy
