This Sunday is Access Sunday which begins Disabilities Awareness Week in the United Church of Christ. As you may read on the back of this week’s bulletin cover, in many churches barriers still remain preventing all worshipers from having the opportunity to fully participate in the worship service. In order for UCC churches to become more aware of those obstacles present in its buildings, the advice is given that an audit be done to determine where improvements need to be made. The tool available for undertaking such an audit is available on the website of the UCC Disabilities Ministry (http://www.uccdm.org). I invite you to check it out and think about where CCC stands, with our goal to be fully accessible to all.
