This coming Sunday is designated United Nations Day.

Dear Congregation,

God’s peace to you. I hope you are doing well!

This coming Sunday is designated United Nations Day. October 24, 2021, marks the 76th anniversary of its founding in 1945.

Last year on the United Nations 75th anniversary, the UN asked people around the world to share their vision of #TheWorldWeWant by submitting photos. Seventy-five of these were chosen and may be seen by going to our website where the YouTube video will be posted. I wonder if each of us submitted just one photo of “The World We Want” what we would choose?

This year’s theme for United Nations Day is “Creating A Blueprint For A Better Future”. You are invited to join the virtual UN Day Celebration to hear from members, activists, artists, U.S. and UN officials to commemorate the UN’s 76th Anniversary by going on-line to unausa.org.

Thank God for the vision of those whose hopes for the peaceful future of our world led to the establishment of the United Nations and for those who continue to support its work. On Sunday we will pray for its mission and its success into the future. I hope you’ll join us in worship in-person or on Facebook.

Peace and Blessings.

In Christ’s love,

Pastor Candy
