I greet with you with very good news! Michelle Simone, our Administrative Assistant, has been moved today out of the Intensive Care Unit, where she has been for almost seven weeks, to a step-down unit. She has also had her breathing tube removed and is now able to talk. I actually spoke with her briefly on the phone today. I know that you have been praying for her healing, and for strength and support for her mom Pat. I also know that you join me in praising God for this huge step forward in Michelle’s healing journey. Please continue to pray for her and for all those on our Prayer List.
I continue to be grateful for everyone who has stepped up to fill in during Michelle’s absence. Judy Carlson, Joan Chandler, and Cindy Ketzle are our Office Angels, providing coverage in the church office and putting the worship bulletin together. Daniel Best continues to be on-site daily and handles the many property needs/emergencies that arise. Lorrie LeGrand worked hard to revamp the worship bulletin format so it will now fit inside the cover. She also does many administrative tasks. Julio Balcells provides leadership and direction in the area of property management.
This Sunday will be our third Sunday of being back in the Sanctuary for worship, as well as continuing to livestream the service on Facebook. The newly spruced-up Sanctuary with its carpet and pew cushions professionally cleaned looks wonderful. Thank you to Cindy Ketzle for arranging the cleaning, and for donations from CCC Women and individuals that made this possible!
Yesterday the Ascension was celebrated. That amazing story of Jesus physically leaving this earth and his commission to his disciples, then and now, will be our focus in worship this week. I hope you’re with us in person or on Facebook.
I invite you to read all the Announcements in the attached worship bulletin, so you’re in the know about what’s going on at CCC.
God Bless You!
In Christ’s love,
