Psalms in the form of words and art!

Psalms in the form of words and art, reborn in the specific contexts of our world, privileging the voices of historically marginalized communities and those acting in solidarity with them.

Praise God! Praise our God from the highest of heavens,

Praise God from the valleys of shadows.

Praise God, all who walk with the angels; praise God, all who sit in life’s abyss.

Praise God, clouds that cover the light; praise God, all you shining stars.

Praise God, all who dance in the pouring rain and all who mourn as the clouds cried.

Oh all who have been created, let us praise our God!

In any shape and form as our bodies decay and our minds become fuzzy.

Let us be like all of God’s creation:

The fish of the sea, the birds flying above, the worms that inch below,

The wild animals and trees, the storms and snow, and praise as we can.

Although the fogs descend upon us and disconnect us from the surrounding world,

We praise our God through the haze of gray,

Through small steps and tiny movements.

We praise our God though the night has descended upon us early,

And the winds and fires rage in our hearts.

We praise our God as our minds bounce from here to there,

And our understanding of the world comes from another angle.

No matter the status or age or anything else-

Let us praise our God, for God’s name is exalted across our world.

For the Holy One’s glory is above heaven and earth.

Our Creator’s care is above measure,

Near us in our shadows,

And breaking through the fogs surrounding us.

As we can-

Praise our God!
