I hope to see you in worship, in-person or virtually, this Sunday.

Dear Congregation,

Greetings on this warm summer day! I hope you are doing well.

In addition to sending you Sunday’s worship bulletin and this letter, I asked Miriam to forward the current issue of Celebrate Florida. I thought you might be interested in seeing the outcome of the voting by General Synod delegates on resolutions that were presented. They certainly cover a wide range of timely issues! There are also suggestions for ways local congregations can implement the resolutions that were passed. I hope you’ll share any suggestions you have for what CCC can do with me and with others in the church.

I hope to see you in worship, in-person or virtually, this Sunday. Our Fellowship time will be held in the back of the Sanctuary as Kelsey Hall will be unavailable due to a workshop there. We’ll still have the opportunity to visit and have a snack.

It was so nice to have some visitors with us in worship last Sunday, and I’m sure you welcomed them warmly. Because there was a family with children present, I am returning the Children’s Message to the worship service. (I know some adults like those messages, too!)

We continue to practice pandemic precautions, especially important as concern grows over the Delta variant. I, of course, urge everyone who is eligible to get the vaccine. I know it was a happy day for me when I received my second shot. What a feeling of relief there was, also, when all my family (except my five-year-old grandson Alek) became vaccinated. I will be very relieved when younger children can receive the vaccine, too. It is a blessing that God has gifted people with the intelligence and ability to create life-saving vaccines!

God Bless You!

In Christ’s love,

Pastor Candy
