Happy February!

Dear Congregation,

Happy February! I think that those of us who attended Bobby Jo Valentine’s concert last Sunday are still basking in the afterglow of his performance which was wonderful! So many people who were present made a point of thanking the church through me for providing such a meaningful free event. There was a great spirit present in the beauty of the music and in Bobby Jo’s sharing of his life experience, that was soul-restoring. I believe we’d all agree that we needed that!

Thanks to our members and friends who worked hard to share our hospitality by providing and serving delicious coffee and refreshments in our breezeway after the concert. Kudos to the cleanup crew, too! I am always in awe of the way you all know what has to be done and do it in the very best way!

Bobby Jo also thanked me for the warm reception he was given by CCC. He shared the news that he’ll be back in our area next year and would be glad to be invited back again.

Thanks be to God for the gifts of music, poetry, and for those who compose, write, and perform the songs!

See you in worship this Sunday when we’ll share the sacrament of Holy Communion together.
