Grace and peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ!

Dear Congregation,

Grace and peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ!

I am so happy that I will be I will be returning to lead worship this Sunday, July 3rd  and will be back with you after an almost two month’s absence. As you know, this was caused by a bad fall that resulted in three hospitalizations, various facial injuries, and, ultimately, brain surgery to relieve a subdural hematoma.

I am very grateful to God for the healing that I have experienced and am thankful to all of you who have been praying for me. Knowing this has meant a lot and I have felt very supported by our church family.

Thank you also for your cards, messages, emails, calls, gifts, and many expressions of caring!

Many thanks to all of you who have done what needed to be done to see that worship continued to happen and the ship of the church stayed afloat! You are rock stars!

Four years ago, on July 1, 2018, I began serving as your Interim Minister. We’ve been through a lot together, some of which we could never have anticipated. I feel blessed to be in ministry with you! I so hope to see you in worship on Sunday, in person or on Facebook, as we focus on the important topic of freedom as it relates to our Christian faith.

(I asked Miriam to take this picture of me as I look now so you wouldn’t be too surprised when you see me. My current hair style is a result of my head having been shaved for surgery.)

May God bless you and give you peace.

In Christ’s love,

Pastor Candy

                                       Psalm 30:11-12

You have turned my mourning into dancing; you have taken off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, so that my soul may praise you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to you forever.
