Grace and peace to each of you as we continue to journey together through Lent!

Dear Congregation,
Grace and peace to each of you as we continue to journey together through Lent! This Sunday will be the Fourth Sunday in Lent. Our focus scripture is 1 Samuel 16:1-13 in which we’re reminded that how God sees human beings is quite different from how we see. We look at externals while God sees all the way into the heart. I hope you’ll be with us in person or on Facebook as we explore this truth together.
I do have some news to share with you. Miriam Grissett, our Administrative Assistant, has given her resignation. Her last day of work at CCC will be Friday, March 24th. I am very glad that Miriam, who became a church member during her year and a half with us, plans to remain a part of the life of the church. I know we all wish her well as she moves forward in her life pursuing other opportunities. We will have a cake after worship on March 26th to thank her for her work with us and to wish her Godspeed.
We will need some volunteer help in the short term on the days I won’t be in the office, usually Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. If you have a couple of hours to spare to get mail, answer the phone, and be a presence, please let me know. I know this has been a help in the past.
Please remember to keep on praying for CCC’s future as we move ever closer to the finalization of the property sale. May God help us to be open to the leading of the Spirit, stepping out in faith and in hope.
God Bless You!
In Christ’s love,
Pastor Candy
