Fall begins this coming Monday, September 23! 🍁🍃🍂

Dear Congregation,

Fall begins this coming Monday, September 23rd. Even though we don’t have leaves turning red, yellow, and orange, browning corn stalks, pumpkins in the fields, and apple cider-making, time has marched on here in Florida as well. And so we’ll be leaving our summer schedule of only one worship service on October 6, and returning to two services. The early service will begin a little earlier, at 8:45 a.m. and will include weekly communion. The late service will be held at 10:30 a.m., with communion on the first Sunday of the month and during a few special services.

We CCC’ers look forward to members and friends who’ve gone north for the summer returning to us, and to vacationers being back from their journeys.

You may want to mark on your calendars that on Sunday, October 6th, there will be a Blessing of the Animals Service during 10:30 a.m. worship. You’re invited to bring your pets or pictures of them, and they’ll receive a blessing. In reality, I think we probably are the ones who receive the blessings from the unconditional love we are given by our pets!

In addition, Sunday, October 6th is World Communion Sunday and on that day we’ll also receive the Neighbors in Need Offering.

I look forward to seeing you in worship this Sunday in the Sundays to come.

God bless each of you!

In Christ’s love,

Pastor Candy Thomas
