FILM & A LATTE: Join the group on Thursday, March 2^nd at 6:45 pm at the Coral Gables Art Cinema for their next film. The Daughter is the reimagining on screen of Henrik Ibsen’s late 19^th century play The Wild Duck, updated to 21st-century small town Australia.  A prodigal son returns after many years to his rural hometown for his father’s wedding and discovers many hidden secrets which those still living in the community have conveniently covered over and ignored. The film mines Ibsen’s themes of class and sexual division to suggest they are still painfully real in the contemporary world.
