Annual Ramadan Open House and Iftar

The Islamic Center of Greater Miami and their Imam, Dr. Abdul Hamid Samra, have invited us to join them for their Annual Ramadan Open House and Iftar (dinner) on Tuesday, June 6, at 7:00 p.m.  Local officials and religious leaders of other faiths are also invited.  The Center is located at 4305 NW 183 Street, Miami Gardens, 33055.  Dr. Samra came and spoke at one of our Explorations of other Faith presentations a few years ago.  Several of us attended this event last year and were warmly welcomed.  It is a great way to learn first-hand some about Islam and in today’s political climate this is an important way we can stand in solidarity and show support for their place in the United States and our local community.  There is a sign-up in the Kelsey Building as we need to let the Center know how many are coming by June 1.
