To improve the Garden Chapel and address the safety needs of the property by properly pruning ALL the trees on the grounds, removing all dead and low-hanging limbs.

The Church Council and Board of Trustees have been working on a plan to improve the Garden Chapel, a true treasure and asset for Christ Congregational Church, by professionally installing pavers to improve the appearance and provide a safe surface to walk on in the Chapel.  Along with providing firmer footing and a more attractive setting, the work will also encompass a campus-wide addressing of the trees which greatly need pruning of unsafe branches and serious overgrowth. Steve’s Tree and Landscape Corporation has been secured to do the work for a total of $37,350. We already have received two generous donations for $30,000 to ensure the project happens quickly. Now we need to raise the remaining $7,350. Beginning this Sunday, there will be special envelopes in the worship folder in which you can make your donation. If you have questions about the project, members of the Church Council and the Board of Trustees will be available in the Kelsey Building after worship to talk with you.
