What a joyous time!

Dear Congregation,

What a joyous time we had together in worship on Easter Sunday as we celebrated Jesus’ resurrection with our Alleluias and bright pom-poms! Easter is not over. The liturgical season of Easter continues over seven weeks, 50 days, until Pentecost.

This Sunday we’ll reflect on one of Christ’s post-resurrection appearances behind locked doors when he shares his peace with his disciples, as recorded in John 20:19-31. Thomas wasn’t there the first time and has gotten the negative label over the years as “Doubting Thomas” for needing to see Jesus for himself in order to believe. We’ll look at the question, “What is the difference between requiring proof to discern truth and having faith?” I hope that you join us in worship in the Sanctuary or on Facebook or YouTube.

I also hope to see you at Messy Church at 4 p.m. when we’ll celebrate Holy Humor Sunday with jokes, laughter, fun activities, a KFC dinner and table conversation.

God Bless You!

In Christ’s love,

Pastor Candy
