We will celebrate Palm/Passion Sunday in the Garden Chapel this Sunday
Dear Congregation,
We will celebrate Palm/Passion Sunday in the Garden Chapel this Sunday. Being outdoors in the fresh air, surrounded by greenery, should enhance our worship experience. I’m glad our schedule for Garden Chapel worship on the Second Sunday of the month worked out this way! We will remember Jesus’ entrance to Jerusalem with crowds cheering him as he rode a borrowed donkey. “Hosanna! Save us!” they shouted. In these politically challenging times, many of us pray these same words, “Save us, Lord!”
The good news is that our prayers are made to the One who can save us from despair, to the One who will ultimately make all things right. Grounding ourselves in Jesus will help us in hard times such as these. I invite you to avail yourselves of the opportunities offered at CCC to worship and to remember Jesus and his love. Palm Sunday leads us to Holy Week with our Maundy Thursday Mediterranean Potluck at 6:30 p.m. on April 17th with the rite of Footwashing and the Sacrament of Holy Communion, followed by the Tenebrae Service in the Garden Chapel.
I look forward to sharing these meaningful events with you.
Holy Week Blessings.
In Christ’s love,
Pastor Candy
