Pride at the Capital

Dear Congregation,

This coming Monday Bianca and I will be driving to Tallahassee to participate in Pride at the Capital on Tuesday and Wednesday. We are looking forward to joining representatives from other Florida UCC churches and meeting with legislators to advocate for the rights of our GLBTQ+ neighbors. This will be the first time for both of us to do something like this and we’re doing so because we feel that it is important to stand up for those with whom we are allies. Council agreed.

We also plan to take part in the LET US LIVE march for Transgender rights on Thursday, representing our church. As you know CCC is supportive of PFLAG Miami (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) which includes families with Transgender children.
