It’s a great way to begin a new school year!

Dear Congregation,

As you can see from the pictures below, last Sunday after worship we had a good time together filling backpacks with school supplies to be donated to children and youth through SOS and En Familia. Many thanks to Karen Kett who did the smart shopping to get the best deals on the 50 backpacks and supplies, and to all of you who contributed! Karen also set up the assembly line which worked wonderfully well!

As the filled backpacks were blessed, we prayed that the young people wearing them would have a good school year, be safe, and know that our church congregation cares for them.

We have students of all ages and teachers in our CCC family and pray the same for them. I share with you A Prayer for the New School Year by Neal Watkins, Florida Conference Minister of Vision and Vitality that I thought was especially meaningful.
