Grace and Peace to you!

Dear Congregation,

Grace and Peace to you! I invite you to be present in worship on Just Peace Sunday 2026. The message I’ll be sharing with you is my conviction that “Peace Is Possible!” I know that in these ever-more-challenging times it may be difficult to believe that statement to be true. And so we’ll be reminded of the words in our United Church of Christ Statement of Faith Adapted by Robert V. Moss, “God promises to all who trust in the gospel …courage in the struggle for justice and peace.” Those two concepts are tied together in the thought-provoking chant which originated in the U.S. in the late 1980’s amid demonstrations against racist violence,

 “No Justice, No Peace.

 Know Justice, Know Peace.”

As we come together in worship let us gain courage by praying together in community for peace AND justice, believing with God’s help both are possible!
