The Transition Team is making good progress in their work.

Dear Congregation,

The Transition Team, made up of CCC members Judy Carlson, Bennie Wiley, Joan Campagna, Hermes Morell, Joan Chandler, Susan Hudson-Manteiga, Peggy Olson, and Judy and John Bowling, met last Sunday. They determined that it’s now time in the Interim process to schedule “Cottage Meetings” in which church members will come together in small discussion groups, sharing their thoughts about the future of Christ Congregational Church. And so, on Sunday, October 27th at either 3 p.m. or 6 p.m. you are invited to meet at the homes of members who have volunteered to host a gathering of from 8-12 people. You will be assigned to a group.  Someone from the Transition Team will lead the discussion around six questions which will be the same at each group. The meetings will last no more than an hour and a half. Light refreshments will be served.

Sign-up sheets will be circulated during both worship services this Sunday, October 6th, and will be also be available in Kelsey Hall. If you are unable to attend a Cottage Meeting on October 27th, you’ll be asked to provide a time in the near future when you could meet. The goal is to involve as many members as possible, so every effort will be made to accommodate people’s schedules. Your voice is important!

The Transition Team is making good progress in their work. After the Cottage Meetings are held and information assimilated, the team will have the necessary information to write their report. This report will then be presented to Council and to the congregation. Included in the report will be a summary of the Transition Team’s work and, most important, recommendations for the congregation to consider which can be used as a road map for the future.

May God bless each of you and Christ Congregational Church!

In Christ’s love,

Pastor Candy Thomas
Interim Pastor
