Dear Congregation,
I’m happy to announce that our Transition Team has completed their work! Their report was presented at our joint Council/Trustee’s meeting last Sunday. At our Annual Meeting immediately after the combined worship service at 10:30 a.m. on February 9, there will be a discussion on the recommendations made in the report. Those Recommendations will be included in Christ Congregational Church’s Annual Report which you will receive by email prior to the Annual Meeting. Printed copies of both the church’s Annual Report and the entire Transition Team Report will also be available.
I want to thank the members of the Transition Team—John and Judy Bowling, Joan Campagna, Judy Carlson, Joan Chandler, Susan Hudson-Manteiga, Hermes Morell, Peggy Olson, and Bennie Wiley for all their work! They spent a great deal of time and effort over this past approximately fourteen months gathering information that will help CCC answer the question, “What is God calling Christ Congregational Church to do in this time and in this place?” I also want to thank you for participating in the process by attending the Timeline presentation and taking part in the Cottage Meetings.
Please mark your calendars now and plan to be present in worship on February 9 at 10:30 a.m. and for the Annual Meeting afterward. Remember, YOU ARE THE CHURCH!
